The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Trapani Airport is a small military airport opened for commercial passenger flights and serving the island of Sicily. It also goes by its military name Florio Airport on some signage, visitors should be aware. Since 2003 the airport's traffic and volume of routes have risen steadily and it has begun serving a good range of destinations both domestic and international. Currently over 500,000 people a year pass through its doors, connecting to European destinations or travelling onwards with cheap car hire in Trapani Airport to enjoy the delights of the island.

Destinations include Rome, Milan, and Pisa. And low-cost carrier Ryanair now offers a variety of flights out of Trapani Airport such as Stockholm, London, Frankfurt, Dublin and Brussels.

Trapani Airport lays 13kms from Trapani town and it can be reached by car hire in Trapani Airport which is the recommended method of transport. With a car rental visitors can also reach the beach resorts and towns of Palermo using the Trapani-Palermo motorway.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?
