The instructions for pick up

The instructions for pick up should have said to call the staff for a pick up as it was a long walk in the heat and poorly sign posted. When we got there they said we should have called them for a lift!

Budapest is the capital of Hungary that boasts some of Europe's most impressive and grand structures from its Habsburg heyday. Often referred to as the Paris of the East, the entire city is divided into two areas: the historical Buda at the south of the Danube and the Pest at the north of the riverbanks. The Pest area is filled with neo-classical structures like the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the Opera House, the Museum of Applied Arts, the Post Office Savings Bank, and the St. Stephen's Basilica. The National Museum is housed in an 18th century building and it offers an account of Magyar History.

Budapest is known for its spring baths with some of them dating back from the time when Romans were around. The notable baths are the ones in Buda's Hotel Gellert but there are also others like the Rudas Baths and the women-only Kiraly Baths. The city streets are highly pedestrianised and lined with restaurants and cafes serving both international and Hungarian specialties.

 What do I need to do when picking up a car?

To pick up your car, you will need your voucher, passport, driver's license and a credit card. It is very important that your driver's license and credit card are in the same name as the main driver. Keep in mind that the local rental company will reserve a certain amount on your credit card as a deposit. This requires the PIN code for your credit card. If your driver's license is foreign (for example, in Chinese), you must bring a translation with you. Only your original passport and driver's license will be accepted - a copy is not sufficient.

 Are there any additional costs?

In general, our rates are all-inclusive. Should there be any additional costs, our booking department will get in touch with you before issuing the invoice. Should you object, you can always cancel your reservation with no obligations attached (at least 48 hours in advance).
